Violence In Cartoons:Then and Now

Bugs Bunny never did anything wrong to me... Looney Tunes, Daffy, Tweety, Foghorn, even Speedy Gonzales, always brought loads of laughter. Wile E. chased The Roadrunner with an anvil, and never caught him. Elmer Fudd chaed and shot at Bugs and Daffy, but in jest, funny, haha ! Tom chased Jerry, Droopy beat up the bulldog Spike... but it was funny, not violent. 2008,
Bart Simpson pulls his pants down to flash someone. Stewie dreads the day he left his mothers incestous womb, on Family Guy. Flatulence jokes and burping for comedy. Give me slapstick of yesteryear. Just had to vent a little bit.

a poem for mariah

The rain doesn't last forever...

Mariah, I wonder what life is like where you are tonight...
Here at Nana and Papa's it's raining out,
and a drop falls on my cheek.
God promises that the sun will come out again-
How was school today, did you laugh, did you play?
Do you ever think about us over here and when you're coming over?
We love you !!
We will always love you.
The world isnt all bad, and bad people, there are good
and good people. Sometimes the rain is loud.
My mommy said thats when the angels are in Heaven bowling.....
ha ha !! I believe her.
She said, God made the rain and the sun.
God is awesome.Wow !!
God made you smile today.
You make me and Nana happy.
I think the rain is stopping.
Tomorrow it'll be sunny out.
We pray for you everynight, that your safe and happy and free.
We believe God takes care of you and us too.
Someday Nana and Papa have to go see Serenity, in Heaven.
Believe in what God has done. Believe in what he can do...
Pray, go to church and take care of Daddy.
I promise, the sun will be out again, you'll see,
the rain doesn't last forever...
Nana and Papa love you

A Couple Sites That Interest Me.

I love to visit the many site the internet holds.
I have always had a passion for cemetaries, well my wife
shares the same passion. Some here in the Maumee/Toledo, Ohio
area are very old. As the city was organized around 1835.
I always wanted to visit, graves of the famous, around the world...
but naurally, we cant go around the world. But through the internet,
we can travel from China to Paris, to Milan, to Los Angeles in minutes !!
My current favorite is findagrave.com, I like Billy Sunday's grave, and The Marx
Brothers, and Merv Griffin's says "I won't be back after this message".Funny.
And Mel Blanc, voice of Bugs Bunny's reads, "Thats All Folks!". Another good
one. Just click on the site and on the left it says famous graves, click on and
fill in who you'd like to sees grave. Then click back and fill in another.
My first night I think I was on half the night. A good addiction.
My second site is, deador info.com, I like to look up celebrities whove gone on
or are still living. If you scan down the main page on the left side, is a
section called readers stories. Click on and on page 29 ,scan down about 7 or 8 celebs
till you reach, Woody Hayes. There I had the privilege of adding my story.
About when, Coach Hayes visited my high school, good ole Woodward in
the 1970's. One of my proudest moments.
findagrave.com, deadoraliveinfo.com, check'em out...
Good clean fun !!

A Testimony?!

July 15th, 1989, is a day I will never forget.
I quit drinking and using drugs.
18 years. WOW!!
Thank God.
One day at a time.
Clean and sober.
June 21st, 2002. I met Margie and fell in love.
A man in love with the negative of life.
Has found love and sobriety.
In sobriety, I found the God who was always there.
Just ask and I received.
We read the bible and talk to God.
We pray, and learn from each other.
We love.
We worship.

Teacher, Brother, Friend.

I met a man, at church, one day...
Heritage Church of God. On Strayer Road, in Monclova, Ohio.
Margie and I came upon the friendliest group of people, we ever
met. And they were only blocks away. How God leads you to miracles !
We were greeted at the door, with smiling faces and folks like us.
We were abit nervous but they made us feel welcome. At home, I thought.
It felt good. We were searching, a couple places, but Heritage was in our own
backyard, literally.
Up front stood a man, and fire and brimstone flowed, like the preachers of old!!
Gods word, had never sounded better.
This man and his family welcomed us home.
Ive learned so much from the man, I call, Teacher, brother, friend.
Life, love, helping others and unselfishness.
..." when I didnt have a dime, he gave me to eat", but thats our secret,
go and do unto others, what I have done for you.
Unconditionally people here lift you up and carry you, and you learn to
carry others. I seen a new parishioner today and shook his hand. I want others
to feel the love, I felt when I walked into Heritage. Today, Margie plays the bells and I play the drums with the praise team.
Praise The Lord !! Sometimes I talk to Pastor Bob more than I talk to my
own brothers... I think Ill call my brother tomorrow.
Thursday we have a mystery dinner. Where we get to know others in the church.
Im looking forward to it. The fellowship, the love,
and new friends.
