Halloween, remember when...

Remember when, you got full size candy bars, in your bag?

Your bag was made of paper, a pillow case or a hefty bag (33gal.)

They didnt check your candy, thats all you ate between 5:30 and 9 pm,
because you missed supper, which was promptly at 5 p.m.

Razor blades were only for Dad's shaving.

Remember when you sat in the windowsill and smiled, because your
parents couldnt afford a Jack O'Lantern...Oh, that was just me !!!!!!

Remember when your older brothers and sisters got all the big candy bars,
and left you with the candy corns, that you got used to...

Remember when Halloween fell on Oct. 31st, instead of the weekend before?

Remember the plastic masks, you wore, that you could hardly see out of.

Remember to vote, thats always after Halloween !!

Never stop being a child. Have some candy, if you like, but remember if you
eat too much candy, you'll have a sick stomach.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!! = )

My music and My favorite Movies Part 1

I guess I could start with my favorite movies and music.
Being a child of the 60's, I gotta have my Motown, Temptations, Marvin Gaye.
I don't know, I loved to dance and sing as a child... I loved it all.
We always had music playing in the house, 822 Utica Street, Toledo, Ohio.Northside.
We went to movies downtown. I remember The Grand old moviehouses of yesteryear.
The Pantheon, The Valentine. There was one on Lagrange Street, we went to.
The Ohio. 90 cents gets you in, with a popcorn and a soda. First run movies too!!
All the top kid movies of the 60's, I seen 'em. All the Clint Eastwoods, Burt Reynolds,
and Steve McQueen. Those were the days. Gosh, I miss them.

The journey begins, welcome...

Welcome to my blog.
Like in life, this is my second chance at this,
and I hope I get it right this time!
I had a blog around Easter, 2006, but lost that account.
But, I'm back and I hope I get it right this time.
I am married, 46, with 2 great step-sons, Allen and Wesley,
my loving wife of almost 4 years, Margie and a 17 year old cat
named Ralphie. The head of the household.
Someone once told me, that life wasnt all peaches and cream...
But Margie and I are enjoying the taste !!!
Everyday of our lives is an adventure, and another blessing from God.
Life is like a butte (flat-top mountain). Margie and I have both been to
the bottom of the mountain and its been a hard climb up, and right now
we're enjoing the view up here. Our struggles through life, will be
discussed more later, but one thing we've both found is that with God's help
we can scale any mountain or rough turain.
So stick along for the ride, we can share hopes, dreams and visions,
from the past, present and the future, once again...
welcome to my world.....
